Planted Window, 2010

Paris, France

Rue du Chevaleret is a visible border of the 13th district in Paris dividing the newly  constructed area from the old. A building on the old side of this street was the starting point for this intervention. ‘Planted Windows’ was a phrase used for the plans laid out in this district. A series of placards were put on the wall of the building with different official decisions about its destiny. The last ‘window’ was placarded in 2008 which finally permitted its demolition. The intervention was held during "Swimming Backwards" workshop organized by Bétonsalon and Bauhaus University Weimar.
